Notebook, Junglee Weekend Box-Office Collection: Pranutan-Zaheer’s Love Story Fails To Strike A Chord; Vidyut Jammwal’s Jungle Act Fares Decently
Salman Khan’s production Notebook that launched two newbies, Pranutan Bahl (granddaughter of yesteryear actress Nutan) and Zaheer Iqbal has severely under-performed at the box-office in the first weekend. According to Box Office India, the collections started off on a dismal note with business of Rs 60 lakh on Friday, followed by Rs 80 lakh on Saturday and the Sunday business isn’t too favourable either as the movie minted Rs 1.10 crore, taking its total first weekend business to Rs 2.50 crore. The numbers are terribly low and at this rate, we don’t see the movie lasting for too long in cinema halls.

On the other side, Vidyut Jammwal’s Junglee did an average business overall. On Sunday, the movie minted Rs 5.75 crore, which takes its first weekend business to Rs 13.25 crore. The business of the movie is quite similar to that of Commando 2.

Speaking of critical acclaim, our SpotboyE.com Editor, Vickey Lalwani rated Notebook 3 stars and was all praises for Pranutan Bahl. On the other hand, he rated Junglee 2 stars and was least impressed by Vidyut Jammwal’s histrionics.
